Classes
Mom & Tot Dance Play
Bring your child ages 18 months to 3 years old and we will start to show them the joy of creative movement and you will be able to share the experience with them.
Pre-Dance 3 or 4
This is a continuation of creative movement blended with the start of a stretch warm up and Tap. Ballet Slipper & Tap Shoes are required.
Ballet
We offer a Russian Classical style for ages 4 and up. As the girls progress through the levels they are exposed to the Ceccetti style of discipline and technique as well.
Pointe
For the committed more advanced ballet student. Classes are evaluated at a junior high level and trained in this elegant technique.
Tap
At ages as young as 3, dancers are taught not only technique but a series of rhythms in which tap is most commonly understood. As the dancer advances tap evolves from a theater style into a hoofer style. Hoofing or “Rhythm Tap” is a very complex style executed close to the floor surface.
Hip Hop & Co-Ed Hip Hop
This is a broad style of dance in which the elements of break-dancing, street style and funk are combined. Popular “hip hop” music of the time is used to keep the students motivated and energized.
Lyrical Hip Hop
A fluid, more interpretive version of new style Hip Hop that expresses emotion through choreography in which a story is told.
Lyrical
Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz dance techniques. This style challenges dancers to use motion to interpret music and express emotion. A lyrical dancer's movements attempt to show the meaning of the music. A Classical ballet background is required.
Jazz
Jazz dancing is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns. To excel in jazz, dancers need a strong background in ballet, as it encourages grace and balance.
Contemporary
Contemporary dance draws on modern dance techniques and an array of still developing philosophies of movement. We will explore some of the styles as seen on So You Think You Can Dance.
Adult Ballet
The basics of a great barre workout followed by gentle center stretching to help keep you aligned properly & extremely toned.
Adult Jazz/Zumba
Come in for a great warm up and some fun combinations to keep you limber and on your toes! Join us to swing your hips while still learning jazz technique.
Yoga/Pilates
The perfect blend of stretching and toning for any age! One student said, “The class is like a dance, it flows beautifully!”
